The Gateron Type R might just be the wildest tactile switch you’ve ever tried. Designed in collaboration with Sillyworks, the goal was ambitious: eliminate all linear travel and deliver a switch that’s 100% tactile from top to bottom—and they nailed it.
With a super short 3.0mm total travel, the Type R features an elongated stem pole and a uniquely engineered tactile bump that ensures you feel resistance from the moment you press all the way to bottom-out. There’s no pre-travel, no post-travel—just pure, uninterrupted tactility.
